When The Meat Machine Owner, Ross Waddell, opened the doors in 2020 his vision was to supply quality meat that was affordable for all. When you visit our butcher shop, you will realise he’s done just that. The quality is high, yet the prices are low.

Having watched his own dad, James White (Jimmy), operate a successful abattoirs and butcher shops enabled Ross to learn the meat and livestock industry from the ground up and go on to do the same. Ross keeps prices low by sourcing livestock himself and passing savings on to his customers.

Meat has been a part of the Waddell family dating back to 1901 with Ross’s grandfather, James Waddell. After immigrating to Western Australia with his family in 1912 he continued his trade with 1 goal in mind, to be the people’s butcher!

A motto that is still upheld today, 120 years and four generations later by his great-grandchildren who manage The Meat Machine.
